Well, i had been thinking about chopping my old GQ Wagon into extra cab ute, and then installing a V8 of some sort for quite a while, i had done quite a lot of research as was getting prepared to be without the car for a few months, when …. a Extra Cab Gq with a V8 already in it came up for sale….the best thing is that to buy the ute would cost LESS than converting my wagon!,..
Well..there was really no choice!.

Better suspension…its still running wagon springs at the moment…soo hard..
New Front Control arms once better suspension has been done.
Gu Front axle!! (The Front locker is already a GU type)
Gu Power steering pump and Box. (not really a fan of the Holden PS Pump)
More power!! (Super charger ??)
Roll Cage
Possibly a bit more bar work…bush bars etc.
Belly Plate
Better clutch… (Theres a new clutch in it, but its not nearly as smooth as the nissan one)
Maybe dual transfers ?? (The Old Mav still has its 83% Marks 4×4 Gears in it)
any finally…COMPS!! dunno when ill finally get around to it…but i think its the natural progression of this kinda rig.
