Bash plate

Category: Mods – Author: Glen – 8:20 pm

Decided i would put the bash plate that i had on my old wagon onto the ute… instead of using tek screws like i did with the wagon, i made up some brackets and used 12mm high tensile bolts and nuts. The only thing is that when i tried the bash plate upto the chassis of the ute, i found that the transfer case is a full 20mm lower than the wagon!, WTF!!, My only guess is that because the ute has a holden V8 in it, it has changed the position of the gearbox, lowering the transfer case…. So i ended up cutting a hole in the plate and making a cradle 20mm lower for the transfer…looks like complete balls….but works.
